„Primus Inter Pares“ is an artistic research project on the mechanism behind official press pictures using the former Polish president Bronislaw Komorowski as an example. In an answer to the needs of the media, the Presidential Press Office took care for improving the public image of the president in the years 2013-2015. Through interviews with the photographers and media experts who who were involved in the creation of Komorowski’s legacy, I investigate the official pictures and create imaginary versions of the pictures that were excluded or selected for publication. The work raises questions about the created meanings of pictures in certain sets as well as the agenda of the pictures in general.
